The Landfair View Is Now Market Bugle

Now that this blog is officially an Orble Blog, the name of the blog is changed to the Market Bugle from The Landfair View. I will be writing about business and I considered a lot of names. I wanted something that harkened back to the days of the small tabloids, with names like the Herald, The Daily Planet or The Daily Bugle of Marvel Comics fame I consider todays blogs not just personal logs, which they may be, but more like personal newspapers and we are the editors, sales staff, writers and distributors hawking these dailies on the streets, struggling for your attention the way a flower reaches through the soil for the sun.
I will write this "daily" from a conservative or even libertarian slant. I am anti-statist and believe the government that governs least, governs best. I would consider Ayn Rand and Ron Paul, two with philosophies that I believe our young hunger for.
I will also write the "daily" from the viewpoint of an ex-stockbroker, who has the benefit of seeing the market today with the experience of hind sight. I was, after all reistered in 1969. Not many of today's money managers are older than 30. They don't know about the imposition of wage and price controls under Nixon, or the closing of the Gold window. They weren't around when "Gold Bugs" made killings in the market. They weren't around when bond investors ruled the markets. They didn't experience stagflation or the DJIA that traded under 1000 for 13 years.
The Market Bugle will also cover political decisions or platforms impacting business. Not only was I a stockbroker, but I worked to get High Tech marketing departments to outsource some of their marketing to a company for whom I worked. My wife is a small business entrepeneur, and I can write from that perspective.
My fondest hope is that you will read something here that is useful and thought provoking and you will keep coming back. I need you.
