Rohm And Haas: Gone!

I just took a look at Google's Hot Trends, meaning the subjects that are getting the most Google searches. Number three was Rohm and Haas (ROH)!
Why, I wondered? I clicked on that third listing and saw that Dow is offering $15 Billion for the company.
Somehow, I found ROH when I was still in college and opened my first brokerage account with Dean Witter in the LLoyd Center. I remember constructing elaborate charts of ROH's price movement and rushing out each morning for my Wall Street Journal to get the previous day's high, low and close.
MarketWatch says of ROH
There is nothing finer in the investment world than to wake up and find that a core position in your portfolio has been taken over. Roh yesterday closed at $44.83 and the curret price is about $74. An outstanding gain of 55% in one day;

"While it's hard to put a price on a company's culture and people, this premium recognizes the fact that Rohm & Haas is a highly-coveted asset in terms of both of these critical attributes, as well as the quality and reputation of its businesses, brands, products, and technologies," said Dow Chief Financial Officer Geoffrey Merszei on a conference call.
